Ultimate car

I'd like to see a car developed that has replaceable parts, minimal number of electric parts, low-cost and maximum function. Not going for beauty nor speed, need a car that is safe, easily fixed, and lasts.
We have some mechanics in our midst, and I'd like to see that concept turned into a real product. Add your thoughts.
